Overview: This course offers an in-depth understanding into the fundamentals of data models, visualization, and tools Trauma coding experts utilize to deliver professional quality data. Students are introduced to foundational concepts and practices that will improve utilization of their trauma center data and effectively and efficiently integrate these lessons into everyday functionality. With a primary emphasis on the Data Management a Book of Knowledge (DAMA), lessons include the following topics:
- History of the Principles of Data
- Data Architecture
- Data Visualization and practical usage of reports
- Preparing data reports
- Principles for effective communication
By completing this course, attendees will acquire the knowledge and expertise needed to unlock valuable insights from trauma registry data and ignite their Trauma Data Analyst profession.
