Trauma Advanced Registrar Prep (TARP)
Overview: Trauma Advanced Registrar Prep (TARP) course is geared towards the advanced registrar, who has been working at least 2 years, and has taken the AIS course. This course will concentrate on the areas that the registrar will encounter, and how the trauma data is going to evolve, as well as dive in deeper on topics such as Performance Improvement, Data Management, and focusing on the NTDS data dictionary and TQIP. This course will also prepare the advanced registrar for the CSTR exam. The TARP course will start the first full week of each month, and will consist of a series of recorded lectures that the participant will accomplish each week. They will have available additional resources to download, as well as scenarios that they will go through with an instructor. They will meet with an instructor for 2 hours each week to ask questions and to be quizzed on material they have gone through that week.
This continuing nursing education course was approved for 45 hours by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
