In her present position at Pomphrey Consulting, Marcela is the project team lead and content expert. She also works full-time as a Data Management Analyst/Lead Trauma Registrar at a level 1 Trauma Center. She holds both a Bachelors in Health Informatics and a Masters in Healthcare Management. She is a Certified Project Manager, a Registered Health Information Technician, and a Certified Coding Specialist. Marcela has considerable expertise in data analytics, performance improvement, and process optimization. She has held managerial positions in the healthcare sector, during which time she has guided planning and project execution, upgraded hospital-wide systems, and developed policies and procedures. She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years and has a varied background in pathology, general laboratories, doctor's offices, health information management, and trauma. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and is always searching for new ways to learn.
